At EduHeroes, we believe in conversations that inspire change — and that’s exactly what happened during our recent Transformative Talks at the American Corner in Dar es Salaam. I had the honor of joining fellow panelists to discuss Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Ethics and Global Peace, and I’m filled with gratitude for everyone who took part.
As we enter the era of AI — with innovations like OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4 leading the way — we find ourselves at a pivotal moment. AI has the power to transform how we communicate, solve problems, and even predict and prevent conflict. It can help us advance the mission of SDG16: promoting peace, justice, and strong institutions.
But with great power comes great responsibility. Without clear, thoughtful regulations, AI also poses risks. It can spread misinformation, deepen divides, and challenge democratic values.

Our discussion focused on this balance — how we, as a global community, can steer AI toward positive, ethical impact. The energy in the room was hopeful and forward-looking. We are all part of this movement to make technology work for humanity, not against it.
I invite you to continue this conversation with us. Together, we can help guide AI as a tool for peace, collaboration, and global good.
